Fleece Sheets Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Fleece bed sheets seem to be the newest thing on the market for winter bedwear.

We do not have any yet for our inventory, but I have seen them in the retail stores.

They look to be most soft, and I bet they feel like a dream to sleep in.

Flannel sheets are nice and warm, but these new fleece ones must be downright hot.

I think the thing that most concerns me about them is the washing of them.

They are so big and thick, that I don’t believe my regular top loading washing machine could handle the whole set in one wash.

And the package I looked at was a full sized set.

I bet my machine would have a heck of a time trying to wash just one of those king size ones.

We will keep our eyes on them to see how well they are accepted by consumers.

And if I can find them at a great deal, I may try a set just to see for myself.

Would love to hear if anyone has used them!

Spam Galore Saturday, February 20th, 2010

There seems to have been a splurge in the spam department lately.

Big long comments with links to junk websites are filling the spam box right up.

Glad the spam blocker catches most of them so they don’t get posted.

I used to quickly scan through them as it does put a real comment in there once in a while.

I still give a quick run down, but not to the extent I used to.

I am wondering if others are seeing this kind of increase in spam.

Must be the season for it or something.

Tall Ship Collectible Keychain Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

LIBERTAD Argentina Tall Ship Keychain OpSail Maine 2000

This little collectible dates back to the year 2000.

It commemorates  the Maine OpSail Millennium Celebration of the Tall Ship named the Libertad.

The Libertad is a sailing vessel that is used to train cadets and sailors on the high seas.

This tall ship makes Argentina its home.

It is featured under full sail on this collectible keychain.

A little piece of history when it visited Maine in the year 2000.

Changes Again Thursday, February 4th, 2010

It seems that Ebay is at it again - more changes for the sellers.

One big thing - no more store inventory - they all become fixed price items now.

But you can still call yourself a store, and they will hit you with double the cost for you to do so.

Either double the cost of having a store, or double the cost of the fixed priced listings if you don’t.

    Pick your poison.

Not really sure how they come up with these ideas, but I wouldn’t mind getting paid what they do for doing it.

I think Ebay tends to forget who pays their bills - the sellers.

Sad thing is - they know the small businesses are tied in and cannot just up and go.
